Neos awarded new contract with TxDOT

Neos was awarded a new contract and blanket purchase order with Texas Department of Transportation to provide the agency with IT staff augmentation services.  Neos responded to the competitive RFO last spring and was awarded the one year contract with three possible one-year extensions.

LCRA awards Neos contract to provide IT Staff Augmentation Services

The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has awarded Neos a five-year contract to provide up to $25M in IT Staff Augmentation services.  The award is the result of an open-market competitive procurement Request for Proposal (RFP) which Neos responded to.

LCRA produces and delivers electric power, manages the lower Colorado River and provides a reliable water supply, manages a public parks system and supports community development.

Austin ISD Selects Neos to Implement Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud

This project is intended to implement Oracle’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications for Planning and Narrative Reporting for the District, including the Operating Budget, Budget Requests, and Position Planning.

The following planning models are in-scope:
 Operating Budget – to facilitate fund-level planning and consolidated reporting.
 Position Planning – to facilitate planning of salaries and other compensation
related elements by position.
 Budget Book Reporting – to facilitate external reporting

The University of Texas System enters into agreement with Neos

March 12th, 2018

The University of Texas System (UT System) has entered into an agreement with Neos for IT staff augmentation services.  The agreement covers all IT Staffing with UT System, but is initially focused on providing PeopleSoft resources for the The System’s PeopleSoft projects.  The agreement is effective through March 2021 plus two one-year renewals the System may exercise.

Neos will provide Saas Kronos and Oracle software licenses; and implementation services for a time and attendance, labor scheduling, and leave management solution for the City of Austin.  The initial contract term is three years with one optional two-year extension.  The negotiation, award and execution was conducted through the State of Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative purchasing program.  The contract is not to exceed $8.6M.

Neos awarded new contract with Texas General Land Office (GLO)

July 12th, 2017

Neos was recently awarded a contract to implement Salesforce.com at the Texas General Land Office (GLO).  The project is specifically for the Veteran’s Land Board.

The primary objectives of the Veterans Land Board Customer Relationship Management (VLB-CRM) project are to eliminate the management of duplicate records and entries among several systems by centralizing customer data into one coherent CRM system. Additionally, the marketing modules that entails email marketing, social media and other related integration is also within the scope of the project. This project ultimately benefits a vital customer to the Texas General Land Office, our veterans.

Neos awarded new DBITS contract with State of Texas

June 3rd, 2017

Neos has again been awarded a Deliverables Based Information Technology Services (DBITS) contract with Texas Department of Information Resources.  The original DBITS contracts recently expired.  Neos has enjoyed over $25 Million in revenue via DBITS since 2013, making it the fifth largest DBITS vendor in Texas.  Neos intends to capitalize elevated award limits of SB20, limits were increased from $1M to $5M.

Neos also is the second leading provider of IT staff augmentation services to the State of Texas via the DIR cooperative contracts program.

UT Austin Awards New IT Staff Augmentation Master Contract to Neos

April 8th, 2017

The University of Texas at Austin has awarded a master contract for IT Staff Augmentation services to Neos.  The contract is for an initial three (3) year base term, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year renewal periods, upon mutual written agreement of both parties. Additional Texas institutions of higher education may elect to enter into contracts with Neos for IT staffing services under this master contract.

The University of Texas at Austin is currently conducting several projects aimed at modernizing University’s administrative systems, business processes, data management, and technical architecture. A key part of these projects is the work to replace existing mainframe applications, transition data, retire applications and to integrate modern applications with the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) implementation of the Workday HCM / Payroll and Financials modules and, in the future, the selected Student ERP. As a result of the University’s application modernization effort, there are other projects, initiatives, and operational needs (e.g. UTLearn, MyUT, SailPoint, StarRez, etc.) across campus that are in scope of this master contract.

Christina Maccini is a Senior Technical Recruiter with Neos Consulting Group.  She has over 6 years of experience in corporate and staffing recruitment in a wide range of industries, both locally and nationally.  She strives to make the best matches for clients and candidates through integrity and meaningful professional relationships.  

Christina served seven years in the United States Army as a Non-Commissioned Officer, and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  During her time in the military community, Christina volunteered to lead morale and welfare organizations in support of soldiers and their families, earning her the President’s Award for Volunteer Excellence from President George W. Bush.

Neos Awarded New DIR IT Staffing Contract

Neos is pleased to announce that Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) has awarded Neos another Information Technology Staff Augmentation Contract (ITSAC).  It is a two year contract with two additional one-year extension options.  ITSAC is a multiple vendor award contract, 124 vendors were awarded new ITSAC contracts vehicles.

Governmental entities, including state agencies, universities, counties, cities, and school districts procure hourly IT staff augmentation professionals through ITSAC under the DIR cooperative contracts program.  DIR reports over $360M in customer purchases through the ITSAC vehicles for the past three fiscal years.

Neos is the second-largest vendor on ITSAC as of August 2016 with sales over $670,000 for the month.

Neos awarded IT staffing and consulting contract with Harris County

Neos was recently awarded a contract with Harris County Texas to provide Consulting, Recruitment and Staff Augmentation services to the County for Central Technology Services (CTS).  The agreement is for an initial one-year term.  The County will have the option to extend the agreement for four additional one-year terms.  Neos will service the County out of its Houston office at Pennzoil Plaza.

Neos awarded contract with CSEC to implement Salesforce

Neos was recently awarded a contract with the Texas Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) to implement a new grants management system (GMS) utilizing Salesforce.com.  Neos has partnered with Vertiba to provide the depth of expertise with Salesforce.com.

Services include:

  • Assess Salesforce AppExchange commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications against the Commission’s GMS requirements;
  • Recommend greenfield development of GMS or purchase of a suitable application for customization to meet Commission’s GMS requirements;
  • Implement GMS based on the recommendation accepted by the Commission, and integrate the application into the Commission’s existing Salesforce® instance; and
  • Deploy GMS, including user acceptance testing and training.

Objectives:

  • Provide a web portal for data input by Regional Planning Commissions (RPCs) that receive Commission 9-1-1 program grants;
  • Provide a data repository for RPC grant data
  • Automate Commission’s 9-1-1 program processes to review, assess and validate RPC grant data; and
  • Replace existing manual 9-1-1 program processes and website/portal.

Neos hires Lori Trank as Controller

Due to the operational demands created by Neos’ rapid growth, larger and more diverse customer base, and managing our growing workforce, Neos has created the new internal position of Controller. We are pleased to announce Lori Trank has been selected for the Controller position.

She is responsible for accounting, operations and human resources. Lori recently retired after 27 years with the State of Texas. Lori has worked in various financial management positions at Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Texas Education Agency and the Department of Criminal Justice. Most recently, she worked as the Accounting Operations Manager for HHSC, an agency with 12,000 employees and an annual budget in excess of $30 billion. Lori managed 36 staff and her department was primarily responsible for client service, administrative and employee travel payments.

She served as President of the Texas State Agency Business Administrators’ Association (TSABAA) in 2015 as well as serving the previous 5 years in other officer positions. She was the Vendor Chairperson for TSABAA for 10 years prior to being elected as an officer. Before moving to Texas, she lived in Northern California where she spent 3 years as the Controller for a mortgage banking firm and 3 years as a staff accountant with a local CPA firm.  Lori is also a certified public accountant.

We are pleased to announce Lacy Michel is joining Neos to drive customer acquisition and sales in the role of Business Development Manager.

Her focus is helping government agencies, and commercial businesses find the technical talent they need for short and/or long-term contracts. She brings forth over 10 years experience in business development, customer service, and account management. Lacy has worked in industries ranging from the cable & satellite, logistics, and information technology.She has a passion for helping clients solve business challenges, and providing end-to-end service needed to ensure her clients are 100% satisfied.

Lacy attended Rutgers University in Camden, NJ and St. Edwards University in Austin, TX. Her major is Business Administration. Prior to Lacy’s professional career in business development, she was a jazz vocalist, and performed all over the US. Her current hobbies consist of Flat-Track Roller Derby, singing, and playing guitar. If you ever wish to go roller skating, give her a call!

Neos is pleased to announce its been awarded the HHSC Balancing Incentive Program (BIP) – Portal Center of Excellence (CoE) application development project.

In line with BIP themes of improving self-services capability and promoting NWD/SEP (No-Wrong-Door / Single-Entry-Point), and to help LTSS consumers better understand the complete range of its offerings, HHSC plans on making modifications to its web-based, self-service benefits portal (www.YourTexasBenefits.com). The project goals are:

  • Improve the navigational structure of YourTexasBenefits.com to enable “person-flow”, make it easy to use and provide a seamless & consistent experience to users
  • Provide self-services ability to inquire program information, check status update, screen, apply, upload scanned documents, renew
  • Widen reach of YourTexasBenefits.com to cover more people applying for LTSS services
  • Allow community-based organizations to provide application assistance in locations without computers
  • Implement a content management system that will enable faster website content changes and updates on the portal.

The project is being executed via DIR DBITS contract vehicle, technology category – Application Development

The project kicked off on July 28, 2014 and is set to be complete within 14 months.  Much of the development work will be performed by our subcontractor, Cognizant.

Neos Top DIR Deliverables Based Vendor in Reported Sales

Neos is pleased to announce that for the month ended April 30, 2014, Neos was the top vendor in terms of total sales reported to Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) on the DBITS contract vehicle. Neos reported almost $1.2M in sales via its Texas DIR DBITS contract vehicle.

Using this contract vehicle, Texas State and Local government agencies and universities can streamline and reduce time in procuring and contracting for deliverables-based information technology services. Agencies can negotiate and contract directly with Neos for deliverables-based information technology services with a contract value of less than $10 million.

Neos awarded contract with Texas Education Agency Permanent School Fund

Neos is pleased to announce we’ve been awarded a contract with Texas Education Agency Permanent School Fund (TEA PSF) to implement a firm-wide trading and compliance software solution. The TEA PSF has selected the Blackrock Aladdin service as the software solution to be implemented.  The TEA PSF has engaged Neos to provide project management, business analysis, interface development, historical Aladdin reporting database development, testing, and other assistance with the Aladdin implementation as appropriate.   The project begins immediately and will be complete by January 31, 2015.  It is a deliverables-based project executed using Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Deliverables-Based contract vehicle (DBITS).

The Texas Permanent School Fund is a sovereign wealth fund which serves to invest its assets to provide a return for funding of public primary and secondary education in the State of Texas. As of the end of fiscal 2012 (August 31), the Permanent School Fund has a balance in excess of $28 billion. The fund is distinct from the Permanent University Fund, which funds most institutions in the University of Texas System and the Texas A&M University System, but no other public universities or schools in the state.

Neos awarded PeopleSoft migration and upgrade with Texas Attorney General

Neos awarded PeopleSoft migration and upgrade with Texas Attorney General.

Neos is excited to have been selected by the Texas Office of Attorney General (OAG) to migrate its PeopleSoft 9.0 environment from a Solaris/Sybase platform to a Windows MicroSoft SQL Server platform.  Neos is also performing a technical upgrade of OAG PeopleSoft environment.  Work is commencing immediately and is set to be completed by August 31, 2014.

Neos was recently awarded a $2.7M project to assist the city in implementation, deployment, and testing of SAP HCM ESS/MSS (Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service).  Neos is partnering with the Peloton Alliance to deliver the project.

Enabling SAP ESS/MSS functionality will allow the City of Houston to establish and maintain best practice methodologies for administration of Benefits, Organization Management, Employee Demographic Information, Employee Dependents, Beneficiaries and Employee Compensation, and Administration of employee life cycle related transaction.

Neos elected to join the TASSCC vendor advisory board

Neos consulting group has recently been elected to join the Texas Association of State Systems for Computing and Communications (TASSCC) vendor advisory board. The TASSCC Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of leading technology companies who provide advice and support to the association and the TASSCC Board. The TAB consists of thirteen elected representatives from the associate membership who serve three-year terms.

The mission of TASSCC is to advance education and networking among professionals supporting Information Technology for the Texas Public Sector. Neos Awarded New Contract With HHSC

Neos awarded new contract with Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC).  Neos was selected by HHSC to provide an assessment of the various technologies and business practices utilized in eligibility determination processes, specifically:

  • Review and document the business processes specific to eligibility determination.
  • Recommend changes to the utilization of available technologies related to business processes.
  • Support the HHSC’s transition from the “as-is” model to the “to-be” model.
  • Evaluate outcomes and make recommendations for long-term technology approaches.

Neos Selected By Accenture for TMHP

Neos is selected as technology staffing partner on Accenture’s portion of Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP).  TMHP carries out the Medicaid claims payment for the state of Texas, under contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
